Author Guidelines

We would like to inform that for submission to the DIEM journal, the authors are required to use the available template in OJS with the following guidelines:

 

1.Authors should submit only papers that have been carefully proofread and polished in English Language

2.The work should not have been published or submitted for publication elsewhere, or extended version of previously published papers in conferences and/or journals.

3.All manuscripts must be submitted in this system by registering as an auhtor in this jurnal ([https://Ojs.egi.kz/login] 

4.Manuscript should be prepared according to the following article template: (download).

5.Cite the main scientific publications on which your work is based.

6.Cite only items that you have read and on running notes.

7.Do not inflate the manuscript with too many references. Avoid excessive self‐citations.

8.Avoid excessive citations of publications from the same region.

9.Check each reference against the original source (authors name, volume, issue, year, DOI Number).

10.Please use Reference Manager Applications like EndNote, Mendeley, Zotero, etc. (we suggest Mendeley).

11.The following documents should accompany the manuscripts submitted by online through online submission interface (as supplementary files and letter to editor):

 

- A cover letter, outlines the basic findings of the paper and their significance (an author roadmap research, curriculum vitae, and competing interest) (as letter to editor and supplementary files) – (you can found on Step One and Four of Five Step Author Submission Process)

 

- Three types of manuscripts are acceptable for publication: Original Research Articles (6000-7000 words), Review Articles, and Brief Reports (3000-4000 words).

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

- The submission file is in Microsoft Word (.docx) document file format.

- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.

- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.

Articles

This section publishes original research articles that contribute to the advancement of sustainable foreign language education, applied linguistics, translation studies, and intercultural communication from a Eurasian and global perspective. Submitted manuscripts must demonstrate originality, methodological rigor, and academic significance. All articles in this section undergo a double-blind peer review process.

Review Articles

This section publishes review articles that provide critical and systematic analyses of current research trends, theories, and methodologies in foreign language education and related fields. Review articles must offer scholarly insight and contribute to the development of the discipline. All submissions are subject to double-blind peer review.

Brief Reports

This section publishes brief reports that present concise research findings, innovative practices, or preliminary results relevant to sustainable foreign language education. Submissions should be clearly structured and focused. All brief reports undergo a double-blind peer review process.

Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work’s authorship and initial publication in this journal.
